Alamo Greece Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2010 and 31-Dec-2012

Payment
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard (transaction fee of 1.75% applies).

The balance will be secured directly by the supplier on arrival.

Additional Driver Policy
Additional Driver is Euro 3.00 per day + taxes and surcharges, per driver with maximum of 2 additional drivers.

Age Requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years for car groups MDMR (Mini), EDMR (Economy), EDAR (Economy) and EBMR (Economy), with no young drivers charge. For all other car groups, the minimum age is 23 years (see young driver charge below for customers under the age of 23 wishing to rent these vehicles). There is a maximum age of 75 years. An additional charge applies if young drivers would like to rent the larger cars as follows: Drivers aged 21 - 23 years old with a valid driving license for at least one year, can rent a car with an extra debit of EUR 8.00 per day plus taxes and surcharges for car categories D (CDMR - Compact), D1 (CXMR - Compact Special), E (ICMR - Intermediate), F (PCMR - Premium), G (CDAR - Compact) , R (CFMN - Compact 4x4), K (LVMR - Luxuary) and extra charge 15.00 Euro for car categories S (IFMR - Intermediate 4x4), X (PDMR - Premium), L (LDMR - Luxuary).

Cross Border Policy
AVAILABLE ON REQUEST. Cross border rentals are allowed only within the European Union. A prior written authorization is required. There is also an insurance premium fee that applies depending on the length of the trip and the country (GREEN CARD). Process of publication of green card: Minimum time of publication of a green card is 5 working days. The charge per Green Card is EUR 90.00 plus taxes and surcharges. The green card covers the rented vehicle with basic insurance (T.P.I.) as long as it is located in the borders of the country for which it is issued. There is an additional Kilometer charge of 0.30 EUR per KM to be paid on the spot by the customer for the rental duration.The guarantee is equal with the value of the rented car. These kind of rentals should be requested from National /Alamo at least 7 working days prior to the pick up date. Please contact the Sales Department in Greece for further information. Please be advised that due to a change in law in Germany, it is mandatory for all vehicles crossing the border into Germany to have winter tyres fitted during the Snow & Icy conditions. Customers will be fined on the spot if they are stopped by police and found to not have the appropriate winter tyres.

Delivery / Collection
DURING OFFICE HOURS PER SERVICE: within city limits (up to 15 kms) a charge at 15.00 Euro + taxes and surcharges will apply. Outside city limits (over 15 kms but a max of 11km extra) the renter will be charged 0.60 Euro + taxes and surcharges per Km in addition to the initial EUR 15.00 + taxes and surcharges. For Araxos Charter International Airport (aprox. 40 klms from the city of Patra) a charge at 25,00 Euro plus taxes and surcharges per service will apply. For deliveries to/from Piraeus Port by our Athens Downtown branch a charge at 15,00 euro plus taxes and surcharges will apply. For deliveries to/from Rafinas and Lavrios harbors by our Athens Downtown branch a charge at 35.00 Euro + taxes and surcharges per service will apply. Driver must be present to show passport and confirm payment methods. For night deliveries and/or collections a night delivery charge will apply in addition to the above delivery charges (it is on request only) - see out of hours policy. OUT OF HOURS: Same conditions as during office hours plus the after hours charge of EUR 20.00 + taxes and surcharges applies (see out of hours policy for further details).

Insurance Excess
Collision Damage Waiver & Theft Waiver limits the customers' financial responsibility for loss, damage or theft of the rental vehicle. The maximum excess that is payable in the event of one of these incidents is 1200 EUR. The maximum excess will vary depending on the vehicle you are renting, please ask at time of rental for further information on which excess applies. If you would like to reduce or remove your excess responsibility please ask the rental staff when collecting your vehicle about additional products that are on offer .

License Requirements
All EU licences are valid in Greece. For none EU licence holders, it is Mandatory they hold an International driving permit. All drivers must have held a licence for at least 1 year and have a valid Identity Card or Passport. All drivers must have a clean driving record which must be readable and unbroken.

One Way Rentals
Domestic One-way rentals between: Athens and Thessaloniki, Athens and Patra, Athens and Volos, Thessaloniki & Ioannina are charged at 200.00 Euro + taxes and surcharges. One-way rentals between locations in Crete are charged at 50,00 Euro + taxes and surcharges. One-way rentals within branches of the same areas in Lesvos, Kefallonia, Santorini, Athens, Samos, Corfu and Rhodes are free of charge. One-way rentals between: Kavala and Thessaloniki and Thessaloniki and Volos are charged at 150,00 Euro + taxes and surcharges. One-way rentals between Thessaloniki and Chalkidiki branches are charged at 100,00 Euro + taxes and surcharges.One way rentals between Athens and Ioannina are charged at 300.00 Euro + taxes and surcharges.For the rest destinations no one ways are allowed. Transport of vehicle via ship or other media: Renter's written authorization is required. A charge of 20.00 euro plus tax and surcharges per direction will apply. Vehicle in such type of renting should be returned in the initial receipt Station of National Alamo. Otherwise, the regular debits of One Way Fee are in effect with the additional charge of compensation of ticket of return in the initial destination (a previous communication with the Reservation Department of National  Alamo is required). The vehicle without the written authorization of National Alamo is not covered for the time that it remains on a ship. One way rentals between islands or between mainland and islands are not allowed. Car groups FVMR and PDMR are not allowed for domestic one ways. International One Ways are not allowed.

Out of Hours Policy
After Hours are available as follows: From 21.00 to 08.00 am a charge of 20.00 Euro per service applies to all rentals in all city stations, hotel desks, and airports (except Heraklion Apt, Rhodes Apt, Corfu Apt, Athens Apt) - on request.From 22:00 to 07:30 am a charge of 20.00 Euro per service applies to all rentals in Heraklion Apt, Rhodes Apt & Corfu Apt (on request). International Athens Airport is excluded with free of charge 24-hour service.

Payment Policy
All rentals to be paid for in advance. A deposit will be held from the driver's credit card which is equal to 650.00 Euro for MDMR (Mini), EDMR (Economy), EDAR (Economy), EBMR (Economy) car groups, 900,00 Euro for CDMR (Compact), CXMR (Compact Special), ICMR (Intermediate), PCMR (Premium), CDAR (Compact) and CFMN (Compact 4x4) car groups, and 1400.00 Euro for LVMR (Luxuary), IFMR (Intermediate 4x4), PDMR (Premium), LDMR (Luxuary) car groups. In car groups A1 (MDMR - Mini), B1 (EDMR - Economy), the renter has the opportunity to deposit in cash the deductible amount of CDW plus 150,00 Euro per day instead of using a credit card. In this case, buying FDW insurance is mandatory. In case CDW not selected a valid credit card required, in order the vehicle value will be held as deposit. Renters must present their passports, Driving Licence and a personal Credit Card. Acceptable credit cards are: Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Diners. In addition, National charge-cards and National vouchers are accepted. Also accepted are Eurocheques and Travellers cheques in Euros, US dollars and GB pounds. The Electron Visa or Maestro are not valid for deposits. Cash card can be used only for the payment of the rental. Due to processing times credit card deposits may take upto to 10-14 days after return of the vehicle to be returned to the customer.

Refuelling Policy
Vehicle should be returned with the same amount of fuel otherwise the difference will be charged according to the official fuel price.

Roadside Assistance
In case of breakdown or accidents a replacement vehicle will be provided if necessary (within 24hours), contact the branch that supplied the vehicle and report the accident. 24 Hour roadside assistance cover is provided.

Special Equipment
Child/Infant seat = CSI - (0 - 15 months / 0 - 13 Kgs) - EUR 3.00 per day + tax, with a maximum charge of EUR 27.00 + tax. Child seat/toddler = CST - (up to 4 years / up to 18Kgs) - EUR 3.00 per day + tax, with a maximum charge of EUR 27.00 + tax. Booster seat = BST - (4 - 12 years / up to 36kgs) - EUR 3.00 per day + tax, with a maximum charge of EUR 27.00 + tax. Snow chains = SNO - Available all year, at all Mainland Locations - EUR 3.00 per day + tax, with a maximum charge of EUR 27.00 plus taxes and surcharges. GPS = Euro 8.00 per day + tax, with a maximum charge of EUR 72.00 plus taxes and surcharges, and is available only at the following locations - Athens Airport, Athens downtown, Thessaloniki Airport and Heraklion Airport. All special equipment is on request with 48 hours advance notice required. Not available for one-way travel. Mobile telephones, luggage-racks, ski-racks and winter equipped vehicles are not available from our Greek locations. This country does not provide reflective jackets and is not required by law to do so.

Surcharges
Airport surcharge is 6% of total rental value, except Athens International Airport which is 13% - both plus tax. For Traffic or other municipal fines, the Driver is fully liable. Accident administration fee: In case of accidents an administration fee of 25,00 euro + tax + airport fees will be charged. This charge applies irrelevantly of party at fault.

Tax

The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
